Many roads in the Gunks area are closed due to flooding. The Wallkill Bridge on Rt. 299 in New Paltz is closed and the road flooded. Some areas are closed to anyone but emergency vehicles. Parts of the NYS Thruway are closed. Many establishments may be without power and closed. The Uberfall area is a waterfall, and Split Rock is underwater. Sheesh! Just found out about the climbing festival in the Adirondacks (leaving a comment about how we JUST left there) and now the place where we were headed next is out of commission. Guess we’re staying in Maine a bit longer than expected until the Gunks clear up!
