Southern Adirondack Rock Climbing Festival

Teaser: Up early without an alarm, rushing out the door, forgetting my camera equipment and having to drive a half hour back to my house to get it. These were the chain of events that I started my day with on Saturday.

I was driving to Queensbury, New York to shoot pictures and do a little climbing at the Southern Adirondacks Climbing Festival. My early morning escapade would pay off once I finally arrived and stood at the base of Shelving Rock. A beautiful cliff over looking Lake George, this place was truly one of the most amazing cliff I have climbed at in the Northeast. Local climbers Jay Harrison, Jeremy Haas, and Jamie McNeill where superb guys to have the ability to climb with. I look forward to next year! Thanks for putting together a great local event!

Great pics, perfect day for ’em, and what a place to be. Craig V. has found a bang-up crag for scenic sweetness. Come back down – w/out the extra 1/2 hr. drive or 1 hr. crag-finding fest, and we’ll do a bunch of climbing.
    Thank you for coming, David!

Hey Jay, The weather could not have been better. I will make it down to your neck of the woods and check out your crag. Looking forward to next year!
