It’s hard to believe that spring is so close. But it is. Temps will be warming which means rockfall in many areas around the region, so be careful out there during early season.
Rumney’s Iron Main Wall has already seen some action this week. Travis Dustin was walking below Underdog and noticed some big rocks that had fallen recently. It’s unclear what part of the cliff the rocks came from, but they are big and more is likely to come. “It must have been recent because the blocks were completely dry on top while everything else is still covered in snow, and the ground was torn up quite a bit,” Dustin said on Mountain Project. “A few small rocks came down while we were checking it out so we moved on.”
