Gear Review: The North Face Cinder 55

If you’re the type of person who forgets to put the gas nozzle back after filling up and drives away, The North Face is making a pack just for you: The Cinder, a cross between haul bags and cragging packs. The pack is stripped down, with only a few features: two pockets in the lid, a handle on the front and haul loops. It is made with incredibly burly 800 denier fabric that has been coated to make it even stronger. The North Face did away with plastic buckles that often break and replaced them with metal ones. One of the more unique features of the pack is that it has a square, flat bottom that helps it stand on its own for easy access. There are several sizes being made, a 32 liter, a 40 and 55. MSRP: $148.95
