This past weekend, Climbnasium in Central PA hosted their 2012 Frostbite competition. A ton of climbers from throughout the mid-Atlantic came and threw down in a serious way. From Travis Gault:
Climbnasium Frostbite competition for 2012 was off the hook! Over 140 competitors from the mid-Atlantic region took to the walls to battle it out. The gym was thumping out the tunes and everyone was shredding their tips thin while wearing huge smiles on their faces.
Strong women made an awesome showing with Liz Ard onsighting all three of the womenʼs finals. Local Shea Oʼdonnel took home second and the always strong Emily Varisco taking home third. Hometown strong boys Tim Rose and Ryan “Skervy “ Scurfield took first and second while young gun Alex Brown held strong for a solid third place finish. These guys were trying hard and the crowd was loud in excitement.
A great event made possible with the help of Organic, Eastridge Outfitters, Synrock, Practical Climbing,Vegas Fuel, Bluewater Ropes, EMS, Mountain Khakis and Climberism magazine. Local events wouldnʼt exist without the generous support from industry leaders like these companies. A huge thank you from Climbnasium and everyone who competed! Thank You.
