I always gets psyched to hear about folks sending their projects, clean! Dead Point reports that Brent Perkins has headpointed the ultra classic Proper Soul 5.14a, on gear in the New River Gorge! A couple days ago Brent racked up with some BD Camalots, and hit it hard. He skipped the bolts, and placed his own pro, setting only eight pieces on his way up the 100 foot overhanging line. His hardest trad line before this was a 5.12a!
‚ÄúI placed two number one Camalots in the first 25 feet. From here things start getting a little more sporty.¬†¬† The run out to the next gear placement is about 20 feet up and 10 feet to the left with the difficulty increasing with every move.”
