We chose to review a few shoes after a pair of Acopa’s burnt out too quickly. We looked at the La Sportiva Miura VS, the La Sportive Solutions and evolv Predator G2.
Taking the Acopa Aztec’s
off my feet for the last time was tough. My exposed toes on both shoes told me it was time to invest in a new pair. I had worked them in so well and they fit like a charm, it seemed impossible to let them go.
I looked at a few of different shoes. My first pair was the new evolv Predator G2, great shoe, and I was sold but they fit my feat weird and weren’t very comfortable. Like most evolve shoes, you have to have a certain type of foot to slip into these pups. The predador is an awesome all around aggressive shoe for sport and bouldering. Size needs to be fitted because it’s made from synthetic material and it won’t stretch much. The next climbing shoe I looked at were the La Sportive Solutions, these things fit like a glove, unbelievable, you can really feel the emphasis on the big toe. Again size them accordingly, I found I had to down size two shoes sizes to get them to fit nice and tight, they won’t stretch much either. The shoe I liked the most was the La Sportiva Miura VS, although the Solutions were persuading, I felt the Miura SV was more my style. The sole of the foot didn’t have as much of the cup in it adding the ability to smear. The Solutions have a big cup under the ball of the foot, smearing would be quite difficult. If your in the market for shoes you won’t be disappointed with any of these shoes.
